BOSTON, MA. – Right after the attack occurred people began to disperse the area looking for loved ones as the Boston police took over the situation. Because the event is such a large athletic event there was already many police and medic personnel on site.
As the day went on city officials made sure to keep the city, nation, and the world up-to-date on information they are coming across and clarifying any information that was incorrect that had spread over social media.
The city and nation quickly came together to support those in the race and those affected by the bombings by creating funds and websites to help those in the area find their loved ones.
